Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready is giving fans an early look at his upcoming graphic novel before it even hits shelves on October 6th, 2026. Original art from Farewell to Seasons goes on display July 22 at Seattle’s Mutual Arts Collective, offering what a post on Pearl Jam’s website calls “an exclusive first look at pages from Farewell to Seasons reimagined as standalone works of art.”

Farewell to Seasons, due out in October, reimagines an alternate history of the Seattle music scene that birthed the grunge explosion of the early ‘90s. Beyond the page, McCready has gone a step further to bring the world of the book to life—he’s composed original music to accompany the graphic novel, pairing the visual story with a soundtrack of his own making.

The exhibition also carries a charitable component. The gallery is partnering with Seattle Musicians Access to Sustainable Healthcare (SMASH), an organization Pearl Jam describes as dedicated to providing local musicians with access to healthcare, mental health services, hearing care, and other essential resources.

Fans hoping to hear directly from McCready won’t have to wait long after the gallery opening—he’s set to discuss Farewell to Seasons at San Diego Comic-Con 2026, taking place July 23-26, giving the project back-to-back moments in the spotlight just as it heads toward its fall release.

All editions of Mike McCready’s Farewell to Seasons are currently available for preorder exclusively at Z2’s website.
