Hasbro and Nintendo are teaming up on a multi-year licensing partnership that will put The Legend of Zelda into toy aisles for the first time under Hasbro’s banner, with the deal officially announced on Thursday, July 18th, 2026.

The collaboration kicks off in 2027, but fans won’t have to wait that long for a first look. Three 6” scale figures will debut at San Diego Comic-Con 2026, which runs from July 23–26, giving collectors an early glimpse of how Hasbro plans to translate Hyrule into physical form.

“For decades, The Legend of Zelda franchise has captivated fans through its deep lore, unforgettable characters, and enduring sense of discovery,” said Billy Lagor, President of Toys and Board Games at Hasbro, in a statement. “By combining Nintendo’s iconic storytelling with Hasbro’s leadership in action and role-play, we’re delivering toys that invite fans to play, explore, and forge their own epic adventures.”

It’s a natural, if long-overdue, pairing. Zelda has been mixing exploration with action-adventure since its 1987 U.S. debut, built on the endless push-and-pull between Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf. That decades-deep well of characters and iconography gives Hasbro plenty to work with beyond the initial figure line, though specifics on scope — playsets, role-play gear, board games — haven’t been detailed yet.

No word yet on pricing or which characters the SDCC figures will represent. Expect more details to surface as the con approaches.
